Kristy Lee Cook @kristyleecook15

Kristy Lee Cook
Over the past couple of years, we have made a major move in our musical tastes toward Country Music. As former Metal Heads and Pop Music Fanatics, this was not a step to be taken lightly, mind you. Artists such as Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill and Jewel have brought the genre to new and different heights, and have opened the door for a whole group of new artists. One of those stars on the horizon is Kristy Lee Cook.

Kristy Lee Cook grew up in Selma OR with a family that encouraged her two great passions: Country Music and horses.

Cook released a debut album, "Devoted" in 2005, but she stepped into the spotlight as a finalist on TV's American Idol. She followed her Idol experience by scoring a hit single with her song "15 Minutes Of Shame" from the album "Why Wait"

Cook, who cites her major musical influences as Garth Brooks and Shania Twain, is now at work producing an album for her new label, Broken Bow Records. She shares the label with one of her musical favorites, Jason Aldean.

According to her website, KristyLeeCook.com , now that she has a real shot at music, she says, "This is the first chance that I’ve been given to be the artist that I believe I can be. I'm hoping that everybody's going to like the real me."

The new music should be coming in June, 2012, and we think it's going to be the next great step in an already awesome career. We're looking forward to the release date, and we'll keep you posted.

Enjoy some of Kristy Lee Cook's other performances while we wait.
